Apophis or Apep, was the evil Egyptian god of destruction within the Egyptian mythology. Apophis (Apep) was thought-about to be the embodiment of Chaos and darkness, he described every part the Egyptians feared. Apophis (Apep) was generally depicted as an enormous snake like creature within the Egyptian mythology. Within the Egyptian myths, or story of Apophis and Ra, Apophis god of chaos was the evil counterpart of the Egyptian god Ra who sworn to take revenge on the solar god Ra. Apophis the god of Darkness earned so many names relating to his totally different traits because the embodiment of destruction chaos and evil.

I think of Apophis name is also maybe the origin from Christian word apocalypse. It wouldn't surprise me, because a lot of things and Christianity came from Pagan religions the end of the world. The idea of the end times something that is not in the Jewish religion, nor is the apocalypse something the Torah mentions about at all. The books in the Old Testament were specifically a restored Israel under the Jewish law in the particular times in which the books were written, meaning more than 2,300 years ago, and under the Jewish prophecies of the time that never came to pass.
Note these prophecies always remind around raising an:
1. This Modern religion has more to do with ancient religion than people actually think, and a lot of conservatives and religious fundamentalists would contest the idea that religion can trace its roots back through an evolutionary pattern to other religions. The hypothesis of a evolutionary like tree in religion tracing it back all the way through to the times that we pointed at basically anything that we didn't understand and thought that it was mythical is very interesting. But the hypothesis of non-biological evolution of religion would be something that needs to be studied, and would be challenged by conservatives on the basis that is challenging their religious beliefs.

I never had a bad experience with snake dreams, everytime I dream of a snake, she shows me where the health problem is, for me they are divine healers and gaurdians, Ra was never a hero, in astrology the conjunct with the sun show a certian "burned" or harmed situation, the sun has a great power but its not always good, the snake wants to warn us, water is the most precious of all and I think they are the protectors of water and warns us to keep the water clean ,all life depends on it, thanks for lovely stories.
