  1. Sobek is one of my favorite legends, because he's literally like Godzilla triumphant, confident, strong and his own diety who bows to no man. But hes also very much a lover and protects all those he loves or See's a comrade in and is well respected, what I love the most about Egyptian mythology is that they tell the stories of their dieties in detail, showing us more than one side of them, like isis, being the mother to all and Egypt's goddess of motherhood, but isis was a woman of great strength and wrath as well.

  4. Love this video, in particular your account of Sobek's creativity. Remarkable that the Egyptians saw creativity not as flow but as a net that restrains that chaotic flow. Also – can't wait to find out what's so creepy about the Ptolemaic temples. Upload soon please?
