I wonder if the sphinx was actually Sekmet before face reworked. The warrior protector for her people. If she did destroy her own children, perhaps they were evil/narcissists and she spared the world. Maybe if Cain had been held accountable, we would not have this great split in society today between good and evil.

Mythology and religion are easily the most interesting subjects in my opinion. But Egyptian mythology has always been at the top of my list, ever since 6th grade when I first learned about it I've been obsessed with it. By far the most fascinating thing in the entire world for me personally.
