The Egyptian Judgement Scale of Anubis ( Egyptian Mythology Defined )

Based on fable, Anubis was tasked with weighing the hearts of the lifeless to find out whether or not they have been worthy of coming into the afterlife. When an individual died, their coronary heart was positioned on a scale and balanced towards the feather of Ma’at, the goddess of reality and justice. If the guts was lighter than the feather, it meant that the individual had led a great and pure life and was worthy of coming into the afterlife.
